TeraLink™ OWC Point-2-Point Product Suite
As the demand for high data rate services continues to increase, so do concerns about the capacity of the already crowded radio frequency (RF) spectrum. In order to meet the growing demands of advanced media applications and the expansion of the Internet of Things (IoT), Optical Wireless Communication Systems have emerged as a complementary or alternative solution to RF technology and infrastructure. With optical fiber communication networks in place as the current backbone of modern communication networks, the free optics solution is already seen as a natural partner, complete with a host of operational and technical advantages.
The TeraLink optical wireless platform is designed to provide high capacity fronthaul/backhaul solutions for 5G and the future of hyper-dense, ultra-fast access networks. This is a LOS free space optics 200Gbps full duplex system which is field upgradeable to over 4 Tb/s using unlicensed spectrum over long distances. The solution allows for massive device connectivity (IoT) and performs with ultra-low latency, ultra-high security and carrier grade availability. The system is driven by the powerful X-lumin Operating System (XOS) and uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to mitigate optical turbulence, increase link stability and improve system performance. It provides state of the art pointing and tracking, including the ability to predict future performance based on weather conditions.
The TeraLink Product Suite is available in three standard models:
- SR105 100GB up to 5.0 km
- SR205 200GB up to 5.0 km
- SR405 400GB up to 5.0 km
Extended-Range (XLR)- 800 Gbps to 4Tbps and distances greater than 5.0km, custom solutions available.
